Jotham was the King of the House of Protection. He was the youngest male ever to assume the position because of the sudden death of his father in his twentieth cycle. In the last forty cycles, he had married his life mate and lost her in a transport accident. He had two sons and lost one due to his own treachery. Now his first son was interested in a woman and Jotham was going to find out everything about her he could.

Jacinda was from the House of Healing. She was the widow of an Assemblyman for the House of Protection. Stephan had been her life mate even though he was twenty cycles older than her. His sudden death had devastated her and if it hadn’t been for her three children, she wasn’t sure she would have survived. In the years that followed, she learned to live with her loss and more importantly learned that life could still be good. She healed.

When Jotham summoned Jacinda to the Palace, his only intent had been for her to help him gather information on Amina, that plan went out the window when Jacinda refused. She challenged not only his right to interfere in Barek’s life but questioned how he lived his own since Lata’s death.

Two strong people come together after having loved and suffered the loss of that love. Can they find enough common ground and courage to chance a new love? Or are they destined to live the rest of their lives alone?

  1. My first fan mail! Grim is one of those books that remains a favorite of mine, one to reread through the years. Thank you for sharing you talent. There has been times when life becomes very difficult and your writing provides not just enjoyment but also respite Thank you again

  2. Same for me, your books are some of my favorites I enjoy rereading.
I also love the narration by several people. For me definitely the reason I bought all my kindle e-books also as audible edition ^^

Thanks for your great fantasy/work, it is always wonderful to plunge in the world of your characters – unfortunately the clock often sends me to bed on the most interesting parts (and I’m certainly I’m not the only one using the usual “just 5 min more…” again and again).

  3. I love your books and can’t wait to read Treyvon, but I love reread The Imperial Serie.
Are you going to write about Barak/Amina and Deffand/Stephanie?

    1. I also love these books. I am anxiously awaiting for the Barak / Amina story and Deffand & Stephanie’s. Please hurry.

        1. I also love the Imperial series. Have reread it many times. I would rather read more of this series and wait on the others even though I love all your work. I don’t know how you switch back and forth between the series.

    2. I really hope there will be more to the imperial series too. I love those books. I really enjoy sci fi romance and find that you created a very original story line with the imperial series. Plase give us more!

  4. Are there any more books in the Imperial series? I would love to know. I have read almost all of your books. While your style is different from the other authors i normal read. It is still enjoyable to read your books.

  5. The imperial series is in my top 5 of all time. I have re-read the series dozens of times. I am looking forward to the next books in the series… any idea when the next ones will be comming out?

      1. Please let the next book be from the imperial series. I just finished Jacinda’s Challenge and really want to know what happens next. Hopefully you will release the audible version as well. I love the sound effects and the little details that adds to your imagination. I don’t think reading them would be the same. I would miss the different voices. I listen to all 3 back to back ?
