Ynyr was a third male and while he was a fit and worthy Warrior, he had always known that no female would ever Join with him. His mother’s refusal to leave his manno had most looking down on his family. He knew Ull would be able to overcome this because he was a first male and would one day be a Lord. Maybe even Vali, since he was a second male but neither Ynyr nor his younger brother Zev would ever be acceptable to a female. The mostthey could hope for was to serve their House with honor. That all changed with the arrival of the females from Earth.

Abby’s life had not been an easy one, especially after the death of her family when she had been sixteen but she had thought things were finally looking up. She was a year away from achieving her dream of becoming a teacher and soon she would be making a difference in the lives of children others had given up on. That all changed when she worked a double shift at the library to help a friend.

Ynyr and Abby come together in the most unusual of ways but that is just the beginning of the uniqueness of their relationship. Together they must do something no other Lord and Lady have ever done, make their House the shining example the Emperor demanded it be, out of one that has been destroyed by deceit and evil.

Will the secrets left behind by Bertos and Risa tear them apart? Or will it be Abby’s own secrets and Ynyr’s reaction to them that do?

  1. Responding to both Tornians and Kalizans series:
I do like your stories which is interesting of both main and minor characters.

I prefer this series than the Imperial etc. It appears for both Kalizans and Tornians that Ull is likely to be the main character in the next novel and to make matters interesting they are going to include Daco who has just started his bad mental influence on Ull and the challenge for him to break this influence as well as introduce him to his”True Mate”, if she so happens to be psychic all the better. It would be nice if the 2nd brother comes along with him and there is a side story as well. I am recommending that the other minor characters of both series should be a combo novella i.e. Callen/Rebecca, Gulzar, Grim’s/Lisa – elite captains Alger/Agee, I already paired Captain Veron with Lady Caithar (Kim’s lady in waiting). Liron is a class by himself so he gets his own book. Granted I’m not a novelist but a well seasoned romance reader but I keep thinking of the heroine for this book who while being in an unconscious state is being told by her dead brother to help Liron even though they have never met before in any format, when she wakes up – his name is the first that pops out of her mouth “Who is Liron?” “My brother told me to help him”. Liron is informed via Luol/Maysa about this woman & she could possibly be his “True Mate” which shocks him into action. The heroine is from earth, tall – she comes from a tall family, a pilot, over 27 and knows martial arts at an advance level. Her dead brother taught her just about everything and then some – survival tactics. How – what if there was another small shipment of kidnapped females who so happen to be from military they are very skilled, who wins a fight to take over the ship and ends up on Pontus as sanctuary. The heroine & other new characters are on that ship. Its just an idea.

It appears that most the women of their own country(Tornian/Kalizan) sucks big time in terms of personality quality – they have none. I do like the fact that it appears that the hero and heroine seem to be much closer age wise. I am not a big fan of age gaps bigger than 10 years. Looking forward to the next book in both series.
